ViewPro is pleased to announce that we will be launching our first project in North America this week in another collaboration with Dr Sauer & Partners on the Eglinton Crosstown LRT project in Toronto, Canada.
The Eglinton Crosstown is a light rail transit line, which is part of the regional transportation plan for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. The project will provide a 19km corridor across Eglinton Avenue, connecting 10 stops and 15 stations with a 10km twin-bored tunnel. The Crosstown is part of the $8.4 billion investment from the Ontario government to expand transit in Toronto. The Crosstown project is the largest transit expansion in the history of Toronto. Construction is currently underway and the Crosstown service will begin in 2021.

Dr Sauer & Partners provided detailed design for Oakwood, Avenue, Laird and Leaside stations. A combination of Cut-and-Cover construction for the shafts and mined techniques (SEM) for the tunnels will be utilised. ViewPro will be helping Dr Sauer & Partners by providing our DATuM construction tracking software for real time data capture and reporting.
